In-Person and Remote developer training

We have two phases of learning at Nexul Academy.

Phase 1: Courses you want to learn

Our self-paced course content hosted on GuruFyre.com includes lecture videos, text, screenshots, and example code snippets. Courses are frequently updated with newer versions of technology. A course purchase includes permanent access at single payment prices between $29 to $89 depending on topic and length.

Tutoring appointments are available to explain content one-on-one.

Occasionally we offer in-person lecture enrollment options. The group sessions cover the same self-paced content and offer plenty of help during and after each lesson. These lecture workshops are a fixed number of meeting times and keep a consistent pace.

Company Training

For dedicated company training, options are available for training at your site in groups of 5 or more students. We add one or more teacher assistants for groups of 9+ per session.

Html and CSS Introduction

Ready to jump into web page development?

This course is for absolute beginners to learn how to get started in creating web pages and dissect how any page on the internet works.

Html defines the content of a page and CSS the appearance of the content.

The key areas this course covers include:

  • creating a page
  • run and inspect any page
  • basic CSS selectors to define which content to be styled
  • how to use basic style features such as text size and color
  • define spacing around items

JavaScript Introduction

Ready to enhance your web development skills?

JavaScript is a programming language that makes web pages more interactive and functional. Learning JavaScript is the common base on which all the popular frameworks like Angular, React, Vue and more are based.

Angular Fundamentals

Build and organize larger applications with Angular

Angular is a Single Page App (SPA) framework by Google, used by Google for all of their major websites. Angular natively uses TypeScript as the syntax, which is an extension of JavaScript.

This course will cover,

  • custom components
  • class members (fields, properties, methods)
  • classic and signal based inputs and outputs
  • services (for REST Api calls)
  • debugging Angular code
  • pipes to transform data
  • route handling to support multiple user pages in a SPA.
  • reactive forms
  • UI design frameworks, with a focus on Material Design

Phase 2: Project Phase

We offer certificate programs in which you can work on a real project using the skills you learned in phase 1. You would start or join a team of others going through the program.

A limited group may get to work on a paid project such as GuruFyre, Civic Dawn and other client work with partner companies, such as Nexul Software, GateWay Solutions, Sketch development and others.

The duration is anywhere between 7 weeks full-time 4 days a week to 28 weeks casual 1-day per week pace. Morning, afternoon and evening options are available.

Front-end development Certification

Combine this track with the Nexul Academy courses in Html & Css, JavaScript and Angular. Content lectures are included in each separate course you enroll in, along with a meeting schedule. You must already know Git OR enroll in our Git course. This track is certified by the Missouri Department of Higher Education as a 1-year certificate program.

During class meeting times you can ask questions on course content and also get advice and mentor help working on a team project. To attain the certificate you must complete a project or feature using the course content topics.
